Founded in 1999, MEMSIC has accumulated more than 20 years of MEMS sensor R&D and production technology. It has production and R&D institutions in China, Europe and the United States, and its sales network covers Asia-Pacific, Europe, America and Africa. As a leading company in the field of inertial sensors in China, MEMSIC has established a complete system from brand, channel to quality control. MEMSIC is one of the earliest IDM mode inertial sensor suppliers in China, which has created MEMSIC's core competitiveness in testing, packaging and wafer production.
MEMSIC provides customers with one-stop solutions from MEMS sensor chips, software algorithms and application solutions. MEMSIC's large-scale and stable mass-produced products include the world's unique thermal accelerometers, capacitive accelerometers, AMR geomagnetic sensors, low-power Hall switches and six-axis IMUs, which are widely used in automotive, industrial, medical, Wearables, smart home, consumer electronics and other fields provide people with more intelligent, reliable and safe technological experience by sensing the displacement and movement changes in the physical world.

As the navigation function of portable devices such as smart phones is used more and more frequently, users have higher and higher requirements for power consumption of the devices. In order to meet the increasingly stringent performance and power consumption requirements, MEMSIC MMC5616WA has added 16 groups of FIFO data buffers while adhering to the excellent performance of AMR sensors such as high precision, low noise, and low temperature drift, which is beneficial to many applications. In this scenario, the frequency of MCU wake-up is greatly reduced. Compared with the current mainstream products in the market, the system power consumption can be reduced by 15-30 times.

MMC5616WA adds support for I3C high-speed communication interface, the communication rate can reach up to 12.5MHz, and it is backward compatible with I²C interface. At the same time, it also supports as low as 1.2VIO interface voltage to meet the latest trend of IO voltage on various mainstream platforms.
MMC5616WA supports up to 2,000Hz data sampling rate, which not only calmly handles applications such as smartphones, smart bracelets and watches, but also fully meets applications that pursue high sampling rates such as drones and AR/VR.
Lu Jiang, CEO of MEMSIC Semiconductor, said: "MEMSIC AMR geomagnetic sensors have long had a good reputation for performance and quality. The upgraded new-generation product MMC5616WA will rely on past advantages and further meet customer needs with stable and excellent performance. It is expected to win greater success."
At present, MEMSIC geomagnetic sensor MMC5616WA has obtained the import intention of many first-line industry users, and it is expected to be mass-produced and shipped in the middle of this year. In the future, MEMSIC will continue to upgrade and iterate AMR geomagnetic sensor products, provide comprehensive product services for the market, and meet more customer needs.
